My Spirit Guide is a Sweet Lolita

Y'know - these horrifying adorable critters? It was decided by my friends and I that somewhere in my strange little soul lies a Sweet Lolita - all pastels and bows and teeth rottingly cute things. It would explain a lot. What is a sweet lolita? For a very short explanation a sweet lolita is a sub-genre of the Gothic lolita which is a fashion statement in Japanese culture. French Rococo 'Let Them Eat Cake' headband

Honestly, I had more than one idea to work out for a rococo theme and here's another; cake headband! There were more designs even after this! Many more felt desserts that I wanted to make (I have a book, you see) Also this would easily translate into Steampunk.

French Rococo Floral Head Band

A local gallery is having a Valentine's Auction with a French rococo theme (I donated to the auction!) so I wanted something....fluffy, something frilly and flowery to wear and turn heads. Thus I give you the rococo flower head band. Some of the flowers I made by hand, some I bought (who knew plastic flowers cost so much) plus bits and ends of things I had laying around.

Local Auction

There's something about the end of the year that is deeply depressing to me. Oh well. Come February I'm participating in a local gallery auction and this is what I'm donating for the cause; a Venetian style mask I put together last October. Wow, how time flies, that seems like last week. Crazy.
