The first inking of my Cowgirl. See, there are different levels of inking that i do; first i sketch it in with a pencil. then i do a single line of ink over the pencil. THEN i erase the pencil marks then add thickness and strengthen the lines. which will be my next endeavor. not to mention drawing the horse underneath her.

haha, i did this during my Nutrition class. it's actually a two minute sketch from a fashion magazine that i inked in while hearing all about food poisoning. her arm was at a really strange angle and i drew the portion too large so i couldn't fit the tip of her foot in. nutrition class is great for sketching.

i have a black and white picture to put up (really!) but all my intentions went out the window today. so instead i have put up one of my entries for an art exhibit that will benefit the local animal shelters. his name is max and he's my stinky, fat dog and i love him very much. he's lots of fun to draw and paint. hmm. the photo didn't take very well because the actual painting is a bit lighter. done in acrylic (i should really do more paintings but paints are very expensive and now until May 11 i will be spending everyday slaving over exams, studying, portfolios and a research paper. i have a new picture, but it's not inked in yet)

I think a while ago i posted about an anime contest and here's the first drawing that i did. Except well.... i kind of didn't want to give it up, haha. So i kept this one and drew another one to give (the contest rules state that you don't get your artwork back without making an appointment, bla bla bla in general it's a real pain in the ass to get your artwork back). Well, i think she's cute. i like the skates a lot. In fact i usually get inspiration from a magazine that i own; Non-No. I don't think a lot of people have heard of it.

Inspiration from the classroom. How the hell Mucha ever drew ladies in the art nouveau style is beyond me; this was rather difficult to draw and it isn't even that good... but i think i'd like to keep attempting to draw in this style. it really is fascinating; there's so much difficult detail.
